Crowns and Bridges
Crowns are restorations that will restore the shape and function of natural teeth when their structural integrity has been compromised or when a person desires to change the shape and color of their teeth. They are usually made of ceramic, full-porcelain, or a porcelain-covered metal jacket (most often gold for it's biocompatibility and bacterial growth-inhibiting properties). A bridge will replace one or more lost teeth by linking the replacement teeth to crowns placed on the teeth on each side of the gap.
Dr. Mitrofan has extensive experience in crown and bridge work, and has a conservative philosophy, always attempting to save as much of the natural tooth as possible.
