Extractions / Surgery
The extraction (pulling) is the last resort treatment modality for teeth that are broken, decayed or have lost their bone support. This will eliminate the pain and discomfort, and will allow surrounding tissues to heal. Sometimes, good teeth need to be extracted to make room for the orthodontic treatment of crowded teeth. Most of the time, wisdom teeth (third molars) also need to be extracted.
Dr. Mitrofan is very experienced and can help you with your oral surgery needs. For very difficult extractions or for extensive pathology cases, Dr. Mitrofan will refer his patients to several very competent oral surgeons that he closely works with and communicates regarding findings, biopsy results, treatment outcomes, follow-up, and subsequent rehabilitation.
