Veneers/Bonding
Veneers are thin wafers of strong porcelain that are layered usually on the front surface of teeth to improve their color and/or shape. Dr. Mitrofan has had exceptional results with veneers and patients are really happy that their smile had been improved tremendously without the need of removing a lot of tooth structure.
With bonding, a tooth-colored composite material is applied directly to the tooth surface right in the dental office. It does accomplish some of the same results that porcelain veneers do, but results are not as esthetic or long lasting as those accomplished with porcelain veneers. For the budget-minded person, or just to "try and see" how porcelain veneers may feel, bonding is certainly a viable option.
