Meet the Doctor
Dr. Paul Mitrofan was born in Romania, the son of a Baptist pastor. He became a Christian when he was 17 and has never regretted that decision ever since. He was serving in the armed forces on the side of the people when the Communist government of Romania was taken down and democracy prevailed.
With $70 in his pocket and two suitcases in his hands, he came to the USA in 1990 with a full scholarship at Liberty University in Lynchburg, VA. For most of the time there, he was on The Dean's List, and received the All-American Scholar and Who's Who Among American Colleges and Universities awards. He graduated magna cum laude with a B.S. in Biology. After studying in the Ph.D. program in microbiology at The University of Georgia, Athens, GA, he went on to study dentistry at The Medical College of Georgia, in Augusta. Among other honors, he received the much coveted American Academy of Operative Dentistry Award. He graduated from MCG in May 2002 and opened his dental practice in Duluth, GA in the same year. In 2009 he relocated his dental practice to Buford.
He is very happily married, and God has blessed him with a son and a daughter. They attend the Gwinnett Romanian Baptist Church, where they are involved in choir, Bible study and other church related activities.
